The bitter taste of bugs in my teeth allow old daydreams to recycle. What if life is still underneath, and I move it with my motorcycle? A thought, it haunts me at times. How many days till I crash? I’ll find out in good time, but for now all I can say is not today. As the lucid parks pass me by, the fears that hound the outskirts find me. If you want to know what it's like just turn your lights off while you're driving. Wondering won't save me, maybe I should just try to focus. I'm wandering into daydreams, craving something that I'll never notice.

Gumtrees

I've been saving up for a new bike. I'm gonna ride it the fuck out of here. Cause come Monday, I'll be missing. The school won't notice until Wednesday. Tell the townsfolk not to wander around. For I'm at home among the gumtrees. Just take my bike back for the kids next door. And leave my bones with those of the animals I love.

Some days I stray off all alone. The hopelessness has overgrown this town. It's shit on its own, but it's your mates that make it home. The tunnels under the streets always make me feel younger. What scared me when we were twelve, now feels more placid. How can such a hollow place make you feel whole?

It's funny how fate works. One day you are fine, and the next you might get hit by a train. Unlikely as it may seem (I would have said the same thing if it weren't for my little brother) When he was a little younger, him and his mates they fucked around at the tracks, and a train knocked him to the ground. He's alright now, I just joke that he's a little dumber. But back in twenty thirteen when it was summer, he swam a coupla hundred metres to save my life when I was going under. Well I'm just grateful that I'm still here.
